Florence’s Best Mayor

What's New — By katiegreenaway on January 20, 2011 at 7:40 am

A poll by Il Sole 24 rated Mayor Matteo Renzi of Florence among the first people of Italy with 67% of the vote. Second place went to the Governor of Tuscany Enrico Rossi. When Renzi was interviewed by Il Sole 24 he commented on the result: “The consensus is not needed for gigioneggiare–messing about, but to carry on even if the changes create some grumbling.”
And since Renzi is known to use many of the social networks “Facebook and Twitter change the language you can not put on social networks the old press summary policies of the central committee. That said, every Tuesday I go to schools, meeting the Florentines to confront the residents on things to do”.

A great guy and a great role model for many other politicians around the world.
