Eat, shop, and socialize local at the Ala Moana Farmers Market

Events, Food, Things to Do, What's New — By jeckardt on November 21, 2011 at 10:12 am

Each Saturday the Ala Moana Farmers’ Market happens from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and it’s unique in that it takes place at Ala Moana Shopping Center on the upper deck by Sears on the corner of Piikoi and Ala Moana Boulevard. The brainchild of Annie Suite and Pamela Boyar, who started the highly successful Haleiwa Farmers Market, the Ala Moana market is bringing local food and goods to Town (Honolulu).

Purple goodness

From the upper deck of the large Ala Moana mall, the market overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and brings the abundance of the country into the heart of the city. Plenty of fresh locally-grown fruits and vegetables, as well as delicious treats and eats line the market aisles. You can stroll through the market plaza and see the abundance that the island has to offer.
