Turkish is not one of the globally learned languages like English or Spanish. There are a variety of very good blogs with a lot of valid and high quality feedback on Istanbul -from where to eat the best what and the trendiest things to do or the places to see-, but those are almost always in Turkish.

1. TOIST -Time Out Istanbul

TOIST is the official blog of the Time Out Magazine. The contents are published both in Turkish and in English. The variety of information covered on TOIST includes not only the top restaurant & bar picks; but features also upcoming events such as concerts, festivals, parties, sports, games etc. Writers are people like you and me, whose entries are most probably edited by the Time Out team.

This bilingual site features both some Turkish and some English articles. The editors organize interesting parties in the trendy Şişhane area as well. Could be interesting to look up for events during your travel dates…
