Fashion exhibition at Istanbul Modern

Istanbul Modern is going to be hosting two very unique and important fashion exhibitions starting 26th of August. In fact, it is already hosting one…

Since the 15th of July, Istanbul Modern has been hosting an exhibition on Hüseyin Çağlayan’s career. That said, the exhibition focuses on the last 16 years of his career, his collections, designs, installations and films. The exhibition is assisted by interviews with the artist and occasional open seminars. The curator of the exhibition is the famous Donna Loveday; and it has already been exhibited in London Design Museum and Tokyo Modern Arts Museum. The exhibition will continue to be up till 24th of October.

The second exhibition is starting on the 26th of August. It will be about Dice Kayek -another famous local brand whose designer are Ece and Ayşe Ege. The name of the exhibition is pretty self expressive “Istanbul Contrasts” and will be covering the recent history of Istanbul through unique designs.
