Laduree Istanbul

If you ask me, next to diamonds are the macarons of Laduree as best friends to a lady, girl, woman… Therefore, it is a big deal for the ladies in Istanbul that Laduree has finally opened up “stores” here.

The first two stores of Laduree (we are hoping that there may be more) are in Bebek and in İstinye Park. You would have expected them to be either in Bebek, Nişantaşı or İstinye Park anyway. Unlike in France, the Ladurees in Istanbul do not have large seating areas (yet). They function so far as a patisserie only and in their first month the sales have already gone over 150,000.00 macarons!

The Turkish have loved the pistachio macarons. Us, Turks have some kind of a craze for pistachio. Most favorable baklawas are made from pistachio; two very well-known ice cream flavours from the Southeast are cream and pistachio; and the summer time matinee snacks are almost always shelled pistachio nuts. As such, the pistachio macarons are so far one of the most favorable macarons for the Turks.

Single macaron costs around 3.75 TRY. Do yourself the favor 🙂
