2010 is the year of celebrating Frederic Chopin’s 200th birthday. Krakow has prepared plenty of various public exhibitions, decorations & events all under the “Chopin in the city” project.

First artistic project devoted to the great composer is Mr. Duda-Gracz’s paintings reproductions exhibition on the river banks. It shows artist’s impressions inspired by Chopin’s music

Second interesting project was invented by Aleksander Janicki. It consists of 4 modern constructions, one of which is the “Satellite cube” which you can enter and listin to Chopin’s music.

Six replicas of pianos made in 1857 have been located in different city points. Painted by Polish artists they are to remain people of the great composer.

Series of concerts will contribute to the success of the anniversary.
The whole program as well as many more photos & info about it can be find on the special website: (also in English version)
