Hot New Restaurant Opening

Food, What's New — By srajah on September 30, 2011 at 10:43 pm

KL is buzzing with the latest restaurant opening. While most restaurateurs generally pick malls and other parts of the city, the mastermind behind Ril’s Steakhouse has chosen to locate his restaurant in a 100-year-old Chinese shop lot in the old part of town.

Ril’s Steakhouse @ the Warehouse takes up the top floor of a cleverly converted Chinese heritage lot. Downstairs, you’ll find a café and art gallery. The steakhouse is all black and white; sleek and sexy with soaring ceilings, chandeliers, leather furniture and plenty of light flooding in from three large picture windows.

Meat lovers will find the menu totally irresistible. Imagine their giant on-the-bone porterhouse steak, at 1kg for two or 1.5kg for three- cooked to perfection at intense heat to create that seared, crusty black outside with a succulent, perfectly rare interior. The steakhouse sources some of their best and juiciest cuts locally, supporting the local meat industry, and from Australia. Other highlights on the menu include Ril’s tiga rasa scallops (seared scallops served sweet, sour and salty); crispy pan-seared chicken casserole (chicken stewed in white wine, then pan fried and served on a sweet potato pancake) and a delectable array of locally made ice cream which include flavors such as nutella, Guinness, strawberry cream cheese and durian.

Ril’s is open only for dinner. Come early and enjoy your pre-dinner drinks at their massive L-shaped bar. Daily happy hour specials (which begin at 5pm) include two-for-one cocktails.
