KL has plenty of options for breakfast or brunch. Here are two picks for the two most delectable breakfast/ brunch options in the city.

Dish

The Dish Brilliant Brunch is simply wonderful. It comes with the free flow of Verve Cliquot. You’ll want everything – from their chilled seafood such as tiger prawns, salmon sashimi, crabs and fresh oysters, to the roast prime beef rib and roast chicken plus the wide range of pastas, antipasti and desserts. The trick is to sample small portions so you’ll have enough room to savor each dish and each dish’s exquisite flavor. Imagine pleasures such as pan seared foie gras with Muscat dressing, and scallops with herb dressing. Desserts are especially irresistible. Sample the three different flavors of truffles – green tea, homemade chocolate and white chocolate blue cheese.

It’s a one-of-a-kind brunch. This is not your typical buffet spread – serving only the best selection of dishes using the best ingredients. A big portion of the spread is made to order – that way everything arrives at your table warm and fresh.

Champagne Brunch is at RM288/ US92++; regular brunch is priced at RM168/USD53++.

Prego at the Westin

Prego’s is an enviable Sunday brunch. Pop in for their Bubbly Brunch – the menu lists free flow of G.H. Mumm Champagne, best savored with the finest selection of freshly shucked oysters flown-in from Ireland and an unmissable antipasto menu that includes the tortellini platter, calamari in padella con pomodoro al forno (succulent pan-fried squid with wood-oven baked tomatoes) and guancia (tender beef cheek braised in red wine and celery puree). It’s great for families as kids can romp around at the Westin Kids Club while grown-ups catch up with friends. Sunday Brunch is priced at RM268/ US$85++ per person (with alcohol); RM168/USD$53++ per person (non-alcoholic); and RM84/ USD$27++ for children ages 4 to 12.
