Families who are interested in Lake Tahoe’s wild birds will be able to learn more about the flying species of the lake at the 2nd Annual Wild Tahoe Weekend that will be held June 4th and 5th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center.
Participants will learn about Tahoe’s migratory bird population, will be able to view a falconer presentation with live birds of prey, and will be able to take nature walks with local guides. Bluegrass music from the Bison Bluegrass Band and Tahoe Yellow Cress Planting is also on the schedule.
Families are encouraged to bring their binoculars and bird books.
