Las Vegas Hosting 2011 Global Travel Summit
Events, What's New — By thmeeks on April 15, 2010 at 2:18 am
Next year, the World Travel and Tourism Council will bring leaders from around the world to meet in Las Vegas. From May 15 to 19, 2011, 1,000 attendees will meet at Aria, one of CityCenter’s new hotels. Since Vegas draws over 37 million visitors every year, it’s the perfect place to talk about how to boost tourism.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, this is only the second time that this prestigious event has been held in North America. The WTTC is dedicated to promoting tourism around the globe, and its members come from the upper levels of the world’s leading travel companies.

Hey Terrisa, any ideas on how to get a ticket or invite to this event?
Tyler, for travel/tourism journalists, applying for media credentials would be the first step. Here’s the link to the WTTC’s Beijing 2010 News and Media page, which includes a link to apply for credentials (although it isn’t clear if that is strictly for this year’s event, or if it could apply to next year): http://www.globaltraveltourism.com/china-content.php?page_id=495&track=News_&_Media. So far, I haven’t found a page for next year’s conference here in Vegas, but as soon as one goes live, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
