Photo Friday in Las Vegas: Name This Landmark
What's New — By thmeeks on April 23, 2010 at 7:53 pmToday’s Photo Friday is a mystery shot, although with a very few clues you should easily figure it out. First, it’s one of the most visited places away from the Las Vegas Strip. Second, it was a government project that was finished ahead of time and under budget. Third, it’s considered one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World (along with the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building). Do you know what it is? I’ll post the answer in the comments section later today!

Awesome photo…I think I know what it is…but I’ll wait to see if others guess first.
One of the towers behind the Hoover Dam?
@Tyler, I’ll be you know it — I picked an easy one! @Jayson, I won’t give it away just yet, but I will say that you’ve got a good eye.
Jayson, you are right — it’s a reflection of one of the intake towers on the Lake Mead side of Hoover Dam. Tyler, I’ll bet you knew it. Here’s the official FAQ from the dam about its construction: http://www.usbr.gov/lc/hooverdam/faqs/damfaqs.html
