Photo Friday in Las Vegas: Sunset

Travel Tips — By thmeeks on June 25, 2010 at 11:54 pm

Sunset in Las Vegas offers almost as many colors as the Strip’s neon signs. The moon likes to make an appearance before the sun goes down completely, allowing photographers to capture shots like this one. The skies over Las Vegas tend to be cloud-free, and the presence of any clouds gives the sunset a chance to show off. Otherwise, the sun has to make due with simply painting the sky. If you’re busy taking pictures out on the Strip when the sun goes down, remember that the Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard, technically) runs north-south, so set up your camera accordingly to catch either the last bits of sunlight, or the emerging moon.
