Photo Friday in Las Vegas: Red Rock Resort

Hotels, Things to Do — By thmeeks on August 20, 2010 at 8:07 pm

Beyond the Las Vegas Strip, you’ll find suburbs full of cookie-cutter stucco homes, wide streets that invite speeding, and a bunch of neighborhood casinos. Places like the Red Rock Resort—the subject of today’s Photo Friday shot—offer residents and visitors all the amenities of a Strip hotel, but at lower prices and without the crowds. The Red Rock, along with the Green Valley Ranch Resort and the M Resort, have raised the bar on neighborhood casinos. These trendy places offer pool parties, fine dining, spas, entertainment and of course, casinos. The Red Rock has that age-old, all-important feature: location, location, location. On one side of the building, guests can enjoy a up-close look into the Red Rock National Conservation Area, and on the other side, they have panoramic views of the Las Vegas valley. In addition to its scenic location, the Red Rock also has a bowling alley, movie theaters, a food court, arcade, and even a bingo room with a non-smoking section.  A short drive west of the hotel takes you to Red Rock NCA, Spring Mountain Ranch, or Bonnie Springs. With all that this resort offers, its guests may decide that a drive down to the Strip just isn’t necessary.
