Super Bowl XLV in Las Vegas

Events — By thmeeks on February 5, 2011 at 12:27 am

The Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburg Steelers will face off on Sunday, February 6, and Las Vegas is ready for the party. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority estimates that 275,000 people will be in Las Vegas this weekend. All sports books will be showing the big game, and most bars are planning something special for the Super Bowl. Here are some ideas on where to watch the Packers beat play the Steelers:

  • Lagasse’s Stadium at the Palazzo is a fabulous place for any sporting event: 100 televisions, a patio on the Las Vegas Strip, and Emeril Lagasse’s food.
  • Las Vegas Hilton Sports Book or Mandalay Bay Sports Book: Gobs of TVs and the chance to place a bet. (The Packers are favored by a very small point spread.)
  • Kahunaville at the TI is offering a $50 buffet for the game, one of the more reasonably priced Super Bowl parties. At Lavo (in the Palazzo), Holly Madison will host the “Holly Bowl.” Tickets are $150.00.
