NASCAR fans are getting ready for a weekend of speed at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, March 4-6. Drivers will be making appearances and signing autographs throughout Las Vegas, beginning March 1.
Trevor Bayne, the youngest driver ever to win the Daytona 500, will be in Las Vegas for the big weekend. Since he’s only 20, no one is quite sure what he’ll do in his spare time since the legal age for gambling and drinking in Las Vegas is 21. Bayne will be signing autographs at the LVMS on Thursday, March 3, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., along with several other drivers. It’s a practice day at the track on Thursday, and admission is free that day.
If you are headed to the races, be prepared to deal with major traffic issues. A concentrated effort by law enforcement and track officials, along with improvements to I15, have helped to alleviate the massive traffic jam created on NASCAR weekend, but track officials still recommend that you take mass transit.
