Memorial Day weekend is the official kick-off to summer, and in Las Vegas, that means a weekend full of non-stop partying. Memorial Day is one of the busiest weekends in Las Vegas, so if you haven’t made reservations yet, get busy. Pool clubs are the hottest thing on the Strip, and every club has special events planned. Undecided about what to do while you’re in town over the long weekend? Here are a few ideas:
- Nikki Beach at the Tropicana is having its grand opening. The Tropicana has been working on remodeling the pool area for months, and Nikki Beach, which operates exclusive pool clubs around the world, will formally meet Las Vegas May 26-May 29. General admission tickets are $20 for women, $30 for men. Day beds and cabanas are available, of course.
- The Palms is hosting The Love Festival, a three-day electronic music festival, May 27-May 29. The party’s at the pool during the day, and in the clubs—ghostbar, Playboy Club, Moon, and Rain—at night. Tickets vary widely in price, but start at about $40.
- The Las Vegas Epicurean Affair at the Palazzo is on May 26, technically a day before the official weekend, but maybe that’s a good reason to start your holiday early. Seventy-five of Las Vegas’s best restaurants will bring food and drinks for this tasty pool-side event. The official line-up hasn’t been announced yet, but last year’s participants included Dos Caminos, Bradley Odgen, Guy Savoy, Nobu, and Red Square, among many others. General admission tickets are $100.
- Lake Las Vegas is finally getting its casino back on Memorial Day weekend. The MonteLago Casino is re-opening on May 26, giving the exclusive resort community the one thing it’s been missing for a while: a place to gamble.
