You are on vacations. You may be traveling with your partner, or maybe you have met a gorgeous and very special local… and you need some suggestions on what to do or where to go in Lima. Despite still being a mostly conservative city, Lima has some very romance-friendly spots, and here’s a few suggestions.
Lima is a noisy city, but, if you are in the mood for a romantic stroll, probably Barranco and Miraflores will offer nice spots.
One of these could be the Parque del Amor, with an amazing view of the Costa Verde beaches and of course stunning sunset colors in spring and summer. Features a huge sculpture by local artist Victor Delfin. Other nice parks (but a little noisy since they are in the middle of everything) are the Parque Central de Miraflores and El Olivar, in San Isidro.
For a nice dinner, Lima does have some very good places to eat, and here’s only a few suggestions: La Tiendecita Blanca-Café Suisse, for those craving an European atmosphere; Panchita, if you want to combine trying local food with a fancy ambiance; for gourmets, La Gloria could be a good place; or, in a more casual mood, Antigua Bodega Dalmacia.
But be open minded and use your own criteria too. Odds are that you are likely to find some nice, quiet and inexpensive places if you ask locals and keep your eyes open while walking through the city.
About romantic gifts; we are pretty sure you will find anything you might need (flowers, teddy bears, chocolates, etc) at any local supermarket. However, if you are looking for something more special, classy gift, you may want to visit any of Ilaria‘s shops.
