The Lord Mayor’s Show: Nov 13th

Celebrating the inauguration of the City of London’s 683rd Lord Mayor, the day begins with a 3 mile long show (parade) on a 1.7 mile course and ends with a spectacular fireworks display along the Thames River.

The Lord Mayor’s Show begins at 11:00am in front of Mansion House where 6,000¬†participants will march, sing, dance and perform through the City’s historic square mile on floats, horseback and carriages, including the 253 year old state coach usually on display in the Museum of London.

All 1.7 miles of the parade route

From a barge in the Thames between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge a grand fireworks display completes the day of festivities at 5pm. ¬†For prime viewing nab a spot on Blackfriars Bridge, along the Embankment, Gabriel’s Wharf or Waterloo Bridge.

Arrive by 4:30 on Blackfriars Bridge for a prime vantage point
