A Royal Christmas Message
What's New — By Erin Gallagher Maury on December 23, 2010 at 11:07 pmSince 1932 England’s monarch has addressed the Commonwealth countries on Christmas Day. King George V, the Queen’s grandfather started the traditional greetings and summation of the year’s events on radio. Now the speech is pre-recorded in Buckingham Palace and televised . This year for the first time the Queen is delivering the address from Hampton Court Palace.
This year Queen Elizabeth II’s ten minute speech is set for 3:00 pm GMT on BBC1 and should be filled with happier news than in recent times with the announcement of two of her grandchildren’s upcoming weddings.
Will you be tuning in to watch?
