London’s Trafalgar Square and Hyde Park are set to air the royal wedding on giant television screens to thousands, or more likely hundreds of thousands, of spectators. Both locations promise complete coverage of the procession, the ceremony, and traditional balcony wave from Buckingham Palace. Food and drink stalls as well as licensed bars will serve guests throughout the festivities and a schedule of themed entertainment will be announced closer to the day. To mark the occasion, Hyde Park has erected a 60 meter celebration wheel much like the London Eye for a bird’s eye view of the action.
The events are free and non-ticketed. Gates open at 7am. Wedding attire is encouraged, so be sure to wear a hat or a fascinator as Kate Middleton often does.
