Madrid’s Annual Book Fair

The 69th annual Feria del Libro (Book Fair) is back at Madrid’s Parque del Retiro. From now until June 13 book lovers can rejoice as they buy books, meet authors, attend lectures and events, and celebrate the written word.

This year’s theme is Nordic literature, to be commemorated with a number of cultural activities and the attendance of authors from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway.

In addition, bookstores and publishing houses both big and small have set up booths lining the park’s Paseo de Coches and have opened their wares and catalogues to the public. If you’re looking to purchase an autographed copy, then you may be in luck, as some authors will also be on hand for book signings.
