Pop Culture Fest

Who doesn’t love music, movies, and Vespas? From October 13-18, Madrid’s 5th annual CulturaPOP Festival is bent on celebrating the best of modern pop culture with a series of concerts, film screenings, round tables, and other events at venues like The Cómic Co., Casa de América, Círculo de Bellas Artes, and Museo Reina Sofía. Plaza de la Luna will also be the setting for an open jam session and an exhibition of classic Vespas–at the same time.

The multiple concerts feature contemporary Madrid groups like Nine Stories and Wild Honey but the films are a throwback to the 50s and 60s. For more information (in Spanish), go to http://www.culturapop.com.
