Have you ever thought about learning Spanish? Or do you think about how you can improve what you already know? Then try a short language course on your next vacation in Madrid.
Experts say that there’s nothing better for learning a language than immersion. So while many come to Madrid to visit world-class museums or party at the Spanish capital’s clubs, other visitors actually come to take advantage of Spain’s official language – practicing on the street what they learn in the classroom.
A Learning Vacation in Madrid
There are lots of educational institutions and private language academies in Madrid that offer short Spanish courses in the summer or at different times of the year. Some courses also include workshops that teach flamenco dance or Spanish cooking, or take you on tours of the capital.
By taking a short course, you can kill two birds with one stone: improving your Spanish and having some fun on your holiday in the Spanish capital.
Ask the Cervantes Institute
If you’re not sure where to study, that’s okay. You can contact the Instituto Cervantes – Spain’s official organization to promote Spanish language learning – for some suggestions on short course options in Madrid.
You can read about them and what they do (in English) at http://www.cervantes.es/imagenes/File/guias/guia_ic_2009-ingles.pdf.
