Whether for the shopping or the people watching, the commercial pedestrian Fuencarral Street has got it going on.
Start at Fuencarral Street’s southern point at Gran Vía and make your way towards the Bilbao roundabout. You’ll see the shops of Spanish designers like Adolfo Domínguez (clothing), One of 50 (jewelry), and Divina Providencia (clothing); Spanish clothing chains like Blanco, Mango, and Torero; and international stores like Calvin Klein, Diesel, and Comme de Garcons.
As you make your way down the street you’ll no doubt also come across the Mercado Fuencarral. This unique and hip mall, billed as the mall for those who don’t like malls, is definitely the place to buy something different, like punk, mod, rocker, goth, or military-style clothing and accessories. Or you can simply rest your weary feet and have a drink at the bar downstairs.
