It’s not only travelers and vacationers who are drawn to Miami and South Beach. Cable’s Bravo network is bringing its hit ‘Housewives’ franchise to South Florida with the new “Real Housewives of Miami,” which is set to premiere at 10 p.m. on February 22. If you can’t get enough of the addictive reality TV drama’s tacky McMansions, designer wardrobes, luxury cars, fine jewelry, superficial high living and spoiled offspring, be sure to tune in. Housewives will have an expected cadre of self-indulgent, cosmetically-enhanced, money-obsessed, ill-manned and virtually-indistinguishable women—perpetually squabbling, social climbing and conspicuously consuming, of course—that include NBA wives (the spouse of former Chicago Bulls player Scotty Pippen), socialites and assorted divas.
