You gotta have it: an ooey, gooey, cheesy, utterly delish pizza pie. Moab’s not big, but it does have a good little selection of pizza eateries. Here are the best places in Moab to grab a slice.
The locals’ secret, this sweet little spot serves up a mean dish of yummy Italian goodness–American style, of course. Eat in, take out, order it to be delivered. They’ll bring it to your hotel room if you just don’t feel up to going back out after a day of hiking in nearby Arches or Canyonlands National Parks. Italian Meats, Hawaiian Italian, and the East Coast Special are especially yummy. Their Extra-Vegan-Za is a good choice for those shunning dairy products. You can also build your own.
A clean, well-lit, fun place inside, Zax also happens to serve really good pizza. Vegetarians might love their Tree Hugger (sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach) while the carnivores should gravitate to the Nothin’ But Meat (sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, ham, and bacon, oh my). Zorba’s Greek, the Ramon, and the Honey Chicken are all unique twists that please the taste buds. Wash it all down with soda or beer and call it a darn good meal.
More than a pizza joint, Pasta Jay’s is nonetheless home to some good pizza. Very Italian in nature, their pies sport names like Macanudo (tomato cream sauce with sausage and spinach), Katerina (shrimp), Formaggio (cheese it up!), Embo (pepperoni and meatballs), and even the Roman Orgy (pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, sausage, salami, and upon request anchovies). And, of course, you can design your own creation from their menu of individual items.
