Food, What's New — By julietrevelyan on October 24, 2011 at 4:17 pmWhen you’re getting ready for an active day around Moab, you’ll need plenty of get up and go. A filling, truly yummy breakfast might do just the trick. With its excellent choice of eateries for such a small town, Moab has really good places to enjoy breakfast before the day’s adventure. We’ve listed our favorites, ranging from sit-down restaurants with full breakfasts to go-and-grab. Bon appetit!

Good coffee, good breakfasts, and usually fairly quick service. Try the Sunrise Panini to start the day on a happy note. They try to use organic, local, fresh ingredients as much as possible, which gets a big thumbs up.
When the locals head here for breakfast, you know it’s good. Quiche, pastries, coffee, and more. Cute little items for sale too, and outside seating available.
Can we say, Old Fashioned Ginger Pancakes with Dutch Apple Butter…mm-mm. Cozy setting filled with locals. And the history of the place is that, yes, it used to have real jail cells, back in the day. Imagine a disgruntled bad guy glaring daggers at the gloating sheriff while you chow down on your Eggs Benedict…
As diners go, this one is a well-known classic in town. Down-home food, really filling, and pretty darn good. For tasty breakfast with cute names, check out the Biker Buckwheat (pancakes, eggs, and a meat choice), Rapid Rafters (eggs, hash browns, toast, jelly), or Mountain Biker (eggs, ham, onions, green peppers, hash browns, and biscuit). Wash it down with coffee or juice and hit the trail. Trust us, you’ll be full.
Peace Tree Juice Cafe & Bistro
Excellent smoothies, delicious pancakes, refreshing local ambiance. This is a fun place for breakfast, where you definitely won’t feel like you’re eating at a chain restaurant.
A local fave. Try the yogurt with granola and bananas for a good fill-er-up. Espresso, smoothies, baked goods. Internet access as well.
Sweet Crepes as well as Savory, Waffles, Biscotti to dip into your coffee, Breakfast Burritos…we like this. A nice place to break your fast before you head out on a fabulous hike.
Ok, it’s not exactly breakfast…but if your morning fuel consists of only coffee and a very early start, Wicked Brew is the right place. They open at 6am, all year long, and all you have to do is drive up with money in hand.
