Girls Night Out in Santa Cruz

Grab your girls, it’s time to tear up the town in Santa Cruz! This city is the perfect destination for any group of friends looking to get out of the Bay Area, or simply see the Central Coast after dark, for a night.

Start off with cocktails at the Crow’s Nest. This local favorite sits right at the mouth of the Santa Cruz Harbor, offering spectacular views of the Pacific and the passing ships. Grab a few drinks and appetizers here before catching a cab downtown.

If you’d rather begin the night near Pacific Ave., check out 515 Kitchen and Cocktails, where trendy mixologists craft the five one five’s signature cocktails like the Frida Kahlo or the Little Bunny Foo Foo (which will knock your socks off). Also perfect for the girls is Soif, an-off-Pacific wine bar with some of the best small bite plates on the Central Coast. Split a bottle of wine—or three—and nibble on some appetizers before hitting the town.

For dancing, check in at The Red, an upscale bar and dancing establishment that’s a favorite with the local college crowd. Rosie McCann’s, an Irish pub that turns into a club once the sun goes down, is the perfect place to bust a move. Motiv, just across the street from Rosie’s, is a big-city club in a small town. You and your girls will definitely feel like cosmopolitan divas here.
