9 PM – Le Saint-Sulpice
The self proclaimed moniker “King of Montreal Bars” rings true. The mansion turned club, pub and lounge is enormous and each section has its own flavor of music and décor to fit all tastes. In summer lounge outside on their gigantic back patio. With no cover charge and a laid back atmosphere it’s a great way to ease into the night ahead.
11 PM – Tokyo Bar
By now you are nice and happy; possibly full from your late dinner and slightest bit tipsy. Head over to Tokyo Bar for rooftop partying rain or shine. Different DJ styles will keep you moving Tuesday through Sunday. Frequented by the under 30 crowd and with lines around the block after 1am come here a little earlier and you can have your pick of sweet people watching spots, indoors or out.
1 AM – Rouge
By now you are in full-swing party mode. All you want to do is to dance and while those beer goggles are in effect, you want to find some a nice boy or girl to call your own. At Rouge the red lighting makes everyone look like a million bucks and the ambiance is fun and funky. Dance to music on the first two floors or call ahead and reserve a table on the third floor for a little relaxing or canoodling with that vixen you picked up downstairs.
3 AM – Stereo
The clubs are closing and you’re not done yet. For a perfect night cap go to Stereo, one of the most famous dance clubs in North America. Every Saturday night they have a mystery DJ who wows the crowd with amazing tunes. Newly renovated after a fire in 2008, the dance floor is cushioned for optimal dancing longevity and is one of the greenest clubs around with recycling a top priority for staff. Wear your dancing shoes because you will definitely be moving to the music!
4 AM – Home
Literally: Go home, drink an electrolyte-filled sports drink and put two aspirin next to your bed for the morning.
