Paulaner am Nockherberg

Paulaner am Nockherberg is a large beer hall with a cozy and warm, upscale feel to it, this is THE place to have a Paulaner beer.  It’s connected to the actual Paulaner brewery, has a MASSIVE fest hall (which was mainly built for the Starkbierfest), and also has quite a large beer garden as well.  In total there is room for 2,450 inside and 3,000 seated outside in the beer garden.

The Food:  Traditional Bavarian Food

The Beer:  As this is connected to the brewery itself, obviously they serve all things Paulaner, including their famous Salvator (doppelbock, meaning over an 18% wort content and around 7.6% alcohol by volume) year round.

The Price:  The food here is on the higher end of beer hall prices (nothing extortionate), but the beer is the same as anywhere in town.

The Atmosphere:  Quieter and out of the loop for most tourists, it feels very upscale although it is a beer hall so no need to dress up!

The pictures below are from inside the fest hall during Paulaner’s famous Starkbierfest (strong beer festival).
