You probably never thought this but there are actually free activities to partake in, in Niagara Falls. Yes, Niagara Falls can be a bit pricy when you walk down Clifton Hill but keep in mind, this IS a tourist destination, you will be paying obscene amounts to do anything while vacationing here; it’s a fact of life. There is a way out though, a way to a little freedom moneywise with a plethora of unique activities to embark on while in Niagara Falls for free, yes you heard me, FREE.

Experience the beauty of Niagara Falls by walking the path of The Falls. You can literally spend hours enjoying the beauty of The Falls, as you picnic in the lush gardens. At night watch The Falls and sky illuminate with bright lights and fireworks, one of the most spectacular sights to see.

Venture off to the Botanical Gardens; walk along The Niagara Gorge or head on over to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a wine tasting. Many of the wineries have free wine tastings, as your concierge, which wineries do.

If you have little ones it’s a must to embark on a short drive to Port Dalhousie; throw a Frisbee on the beach, have an ice-cream or go on a carousel ride (only 5 cents, so almost free!). Travel to Happy Ralph’s Farm for the morning to watch your child’s smile light up as they feed the deer or drive on up to The Welland Canals Centre at Lock 3 where you will see the ‘ships climb the mountain’, a true favourite for young & old.

It’s time to step away from spending obscene amounts of vacation and partake in a little ‘nickle and dimming’.
