The festival is during the wonderful fall weekend of September 30th to October 2nd, certainly a perfect time to take in the beauty of fall and enjoy some delicious food the Niagara Region has to offer. The Niagara Food Festival takes place in Historic Downtown Welland, just a fifteen-minute drive from Niagara Falls and offers a whole lot of vendors and deliciousness for all to partake in.

The food is surely the main attraction here, as it is deemed the “Tastiest Party” yet so come hungry and leave happy as you spend the day browsing the many vendors. Get your hands dirty while you dive into corn on the cob from Ontario Corn Roasters, sticky ribs from Miki’s Smokehouse, blooming onions from Bob’s Blooming Onion or something for the sweet tooth at Gelato Village. With a variety of food this festival is perfect for the whole family. Tourists beware, you may be coming here everyday of the weekend to try something new daily. So forget about going out for dinner on this weekend, the Niagara Food Festival is waiting for all to dive into a whole slew of tasty dishes.

If that doesn’t do it for you, then take a whiff off this, Chefs Anna and Michael Olson are the new honorary chairs of the festival, something the Niagara Region is ever so excited about. If you know who Anna Olson (accomplished chef and host of Food Network’s various shows, and has written six cookbooks) is then you will want to make it one of your top things to do while in the Niagara Region to get a glimpse of this power couple.
