It’s kind of like your typical craft show, but so much better! The Balls Falls Craft Show, located in at The Balls Falls Conservation Area in Vineland is a festival held over Thanksgiving weekend (October 7th to October 10th) and is truly a splendid time for all. The typical craft show of course has crafts displayed for all to take a gander at, but at this craft show they certainly go above and beyond. With an abundance of crafty vendors, a street and barn filled of food, heritage activities, pony rides and live entertainment this craft show really can’t get any better.

Right when you walk through the gates in the Conservation Area you are greeted with a stall that serves the most wonderful apple cider and apple fritters. Seeing as fall is the perfect time for a little apple picking, it is no wonder the apple fritters and cider are a hit. As you walk the length of the conservation area you will walk through sections of the craft show where you can pick and choose which spots tickle your fancy. If you are mesmerized by the sight of unique birds then check out the Birds of Prey viewing where you will be taken back by the beauty of each bird. With 140 featured artisans and live entertainment, do a little shopping then check out the stage, which is graced with a whole variety of music to dance too. Check out the heritage activities and tours that are provided to understand the history of The Balls Falls Conservation Area. The food vendors are certainly in abundance. Grab anything from corn on the cob to pulled pork to peroggies to fries. Lunch is served throughout the day and there are picnic tables where you can dive into your delicious meal. Don’t forget to grab a candy apple or chocolate on a stick on your way out.

With a plethora of children’s activities, your kids will be happy you brought them along for the day. A favourite amongst many is the animal wood-carving center where kids are able to decorate their animal in funky colours and sand the carving down to perfection. Children are also able to go on pony rides and have their own designated section that many adults are pretty jealous of as they always seem to be having so much fun!

Parking is free and there is a shuttle bus that takes you into the festival area. Its best if you come early to get a good parking spot and are able to scope out the best of the best crafts.
