OMG – it’s hot in Orlando. Thank goodness we’ve got FOUR excellent water parks here that will help you beat the heat. Here’s a round-up of each one plus the ride you won’t want to miss….

Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark
With 36 water slides, six rivers, lagoons and more than 80,000 square feet (24,384 square meters) of beach area, this park is a truly unique journey.

Don’t miss… the Dolphin Plunge – Aquatica’s signature attraction plunges riders down 300-foot long (91-meter) clear tubes through a crystal-blue lagoon filled with black-and-white Commerson’s dolphins.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Enjoy this slushy, slippery, exhilarating experience as you plunge into a snow-capped mountain world.

Don’t miss… The Summit Plummet – At 120 feet (36 meters), it’s the tallest water slide in America, sending the you plummeting 55 miles per hour almost straight down into the heated waters at the base of an impressive mountain.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
Soak up the tropical fun with nine exciting waterslides and streams plus one of the world’s largest artificially created waves.

Don’t miss… Humunga Kowabunga –Three speed slides that send riders rocketing in a flume of water. Riders drop five stories in a matter of seconds in the enclosed flumes that don’t allow for any visibility until the surprise ending.

Wet ‘n Wild – Orlando

Located on I-Drive, this park offers tons of thrilling spills and multi-passenger tube rides.

Don’t miss… The Brain Wash – A multi-passenger experience in which guests climb the walls on the six-story extreme tube ride with a 53-foot (16-meter) vertical drop into the 65-foot (20-meter) domed funnel

Also check out…
Universal Studios has a pretty fabulous splash pad for kids called Curious George Goes to Town where a 500-gallon buckets periodically dumps on spectaculars below.

Discovery Cove is almost exclusively water-based featuring a lazy river, warm water lagoon, and tropical reef.

There’s a free splash pad in downtown Celebration at the foot of Market Street that’s perfect for toddlers.
