Orlando travel apps

It really pays to do your pre-vacation research, especially when you’re visiting a place like Orlando where you need to cram a lot into 7 days. Travel sites like NileGuide (shameless plug) and TripAdvisor  can help you navigate through all the attractions, hotels, and restaurants to make sure you are choosing the absolute best. BUT… it also helps to have some assistance once you’re on the ground. That’s why I love these Orlando apps.

The Disney World  App is an obvious must-have. Loaded into this handy mobile guide you’ll find maps of all the parks, show times, park hours, dining details, and weather info.

Orlando Attractions Magazine App is free and let’s you be in the know about Orlando tourist attractions by allowing you access to current and past issues of this publication.

Designed by long-time Orlando resident M. Timothy O’Keefe, The Orlando Essential Guide App delivers more than 180 detailed entries about Orlando hot spots and hidden gems.

Not only does City Spin give you info on local events, attractions and restaurants, this app will also keep you informed about traffic delays and weather.

Other favorites for real-time travel tips:

  • Zagat To Go – lets you reserve tables instantly
  • Urbanspoon – uses a GPS to let you find restaurants nearest you and then connects you with reviews
  • GateGuru – airport info to help you make the best of your pre-flight time
