After a two-year hiatus that surprised and disappointed Orlando’s stand-up comedy fans, the Orlando Improv has finally returned to the City Beautiful in its new location at Pointe Orlando. Once a Church Street staple, the club was squeezed out a few years ago and seemed to be lost forever. But alas, the new Orlando Improv Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre has returned and so has the laughter.
True to its heritage, the club continues to feature a killer line-up of Comedy Central veterans and Last Comic Standing hopefuls…. all ready to deliver side-splitting, high quality entertainment. The beer and booze flows, as does a huge variety of entrees, apps, and desserts from the club’s full menu.
At its Pointe Orlando location, the Improv makes it easy to make a night of it. Start with dinner at one of the district’s eateries (like The Capital Grille or Taverna Opa) and catch the late show at 10pm. Or head to the Improv’s early set (8pm) and hang out at BB King’s Blues Club afterward.
And if that wasn’t reason enough to check out the Improv, the very reasonable $10-$25 ticket price is sure to tempt you. By the way, all shows are 21 and over unless otherwise specified.
