Free Oslo: Opera on the Roof

Events, free, Nightlife, Things to Do, What's New — By Anne-Sophie Redisch on May 5, 2010 at 9:14 am

21 May is the opening night for the new opera Around the world in 80 days. Only nine additional performances are scheduled, so tickets will no doubt be sold out quickly, as usual.

However, there’s no need to despair. As a bonus, the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet is setting up a big screen and a superb sound system on the roof for the final performance on 19 June – a perfect addition to Free Oslo things to do. Best to get there early, it could be crowded. For last year’s free showing of Carmen, 7000 people gathered on the roof.

Time: 19 June 2010
Venue: Roof of the Opera House
Entrance free! Perfect for Free Oslo things to do
