Travel Tips — By Anne-Sophie Redisch on September 6, 2010 at 11:00 am

The newly renovated Oscarshall summer palace is still open for visitors and guided tours are available every weekend until 26. September. A superb example of Neo-Gothic architecture, Oscarshall is one of many great sights at the Bygdøy pensinsula.

(For a full day out, consider stopping by the outdoor Cultural History Museum as well).

Where: Oscarshall summer palace
When: Saturdays and Sundays 1100 – 1700 (11:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Price: 70/60/40 NOK for adults/seniors/children

Getting there: Oscarshall summer palace is located at Bygdøy. Take bus no. 30 to Bygdø kongsgård or Norsk folkemuseum – or better: take the Bygdøy ferry and get off at Dronningen.
