Phoenix Summer Spa Specials

Events, Things to Do — By P. Escarcega on May 28, 2011 at 9:06 pm

Everybody knows that Phoenix in the summer is not exactly a walk in the park. As mid-day temperatures start to hit the triple digits on a regular basis, a walk in the park—without the parasol and copious amounts of cool water—would only result in heatstroke. Fortunately, there are some perks to visiting the Phoenix Metro area in the summer. As mild-weather snow birds flock back home for less intense summer weather, prices at local hotels, resorts, and spas begin to drop, making this the best time of year to hit up the swanky spas and resorts around town.

This summer, enjoy special spa events during the Summer Spaaah Series, organized by the Arizona Spa Girls and benefiting the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. Now in its sixth year, the series invites guests to spend the day luxuriating at one of five top Valley resort spas and a destination event in Sedona. For $125, guests can attend an evening reception with cocktails, tastings, spa goodies and mini spa treatments, as well as a certificate good for one spa treatment and use of full spa amenities for one day. Spa treatments vary according to location, and guests have 30 days to use their spa certificate after date of purchase.
