On a lazy Saturday afternoon check out Powell’s Books. Peruse the largest book store on in the entire United States with a cup of locally brewed coffee in hand from Cafe Umbria. Spend the day wandering historic Downtown Portland, chosing from sites like the Classical Chinese Garden and Old Town.
If the weather’s truly perfect (which happens to be all of Portland’s clear, bright summer), take a weekend trip out to Mount Hood.
After a long day of travel, check out a locally-chosen Collection of some of Portland’s best and most well-loved restaurants. Around sunset, head to Portland City Grill, a fantastic place to enjoy happy-hour price drinks and appetizers plus a spectacular view of Mount Hood at sunset.
If you’re sticking to the Downtown area to enjoy the late -night festivities, Typhoon on Broadway is an excellent Thai restaurant. If you’re on a date, head to Belly Timber for an intimate culinary experience. No matter where you are in Portland, there are things to do and places to eat.
