A mini-roundup of some not to miss events in Prague this month:

For game and art lovers: Dox Centre for Contemporary Art commissioned 15 artists to design chess sets for their latest exhibition The Art of Chess. Running until June 28; you’ll see fascinating takes on the game; including sets from Damien Hirst; Paul McCarthy and Gavin Turk.

For those with itchy feet: Tanec Praha successfully blends traditional ballet with progressive experimental dance crossing all other genres in between. A variety of international and local acts descend on the city to showoff their best work. Through June 29.

For music lovers: An international multi genre music festival plays out June 24-26 on Prague’s islands. United Islands of Prague is a free festival that offers music lovers six stages and more than 100 bands from Czech Republic and abroad. Evenings see additional performances in downtown clubs. Bands from Ukraine, Spain and the Netherlands are just a few who will be entertaining.
