For a classy evening out, nothing beats cocktails. While in all respects Prague has much more of a beer culture, there are a number of great cocktail bars in all areas of town. From elegant chic to shabby chic, from creative new mixes to classic favorites, if you enjoy a nice cocktail or two, we’ve got some suggestions.
One of the most stylish places in Prague is Cloud 9, a cocktail bar atop the Prague Hilton hotel. A visit is a must for its stunning view; especially as the sun begins to set. Two terraces mean summer time can see you relaxing nine stories above the city with a gorgeous drink in your hand. The interiors are nothing to scoff at either, with floor to ceiling windows and comfy furnishings. The cocktail menu has been designed by a master bartender and features a number of delicious concoctions like the Charisma with a kick of pepper or the Black Pearl combining French liqueurs and fresh berries.
For solid cocktails at a city center location, hit Repete. Classics like the Mojito and Cosmopolitan are done well; and for a little extra kick in your night order the pink and fruity rum-based Hemingway Special. Repete is a place to relax with friends; especially if you hit one of their weekday specials which offers a specially priced cocktail Sunday-Wednesday.
If you are into a more casual vibe, hit Bukowski’s out in Prague 3. A VERY laidback atmosphere extends to the clientele, dogs and even the wait staff. Bartenders tend to keep things regular; however busy nights may see a slight drop in quality. Great prices and a good place to meet a variety of people make it a popular regular stop for many. Tuesday evenings, ladies are treated to free Sangria from 7pm until it runs out.
