Prague Easter Festival

The Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic have teamed up for a series of special concerts during the holy time of Easter. Both of these groups have a long and respected tradition in Prague, having made numerous recordings, and entertaining both locals and visitors year-round. In addition to a specially chosen cycle of concerts, you will experience the music in three of Prague’s top concert venues. If you are in town, don’t miss this wonderful opportunity!

Tickets can be purchased at the Prague Symphony office: Praha 1, Municipal House, nám. Republiky 5 (in the Municipal House Cultural and Information Centre,) 222 00 23 36, pokladna@fok.cz. The concerts are held at three different venues; check www.fok.cz for more program details and venue information. All concerts begin at 7:30pm.

April 26: St. John Passion, Church of St. Simon & Jude

April 27 & 28: Brahms, Tschaikowsky, Dvořák, Municipal House

April 28: P. Wagner – Viola de Gamba, Church of St. Simon & Jude

April 30: P. Badura-Skoda – Piano Recital, Rudolfinum
