Think Pink: Viva La Rivoluzione

Events, What's New — By Erica Firpo on October 18, 2010 at 2:46 pm

Today, while you rummage the internet looking for something to spice up your next trip to Italy, think pink.  This morning, hundreds of Italy bloggers are  writing a revolution, a Rivoluzione in Rosa,  by contributing posts in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.   Blog topics touch up issues from serious and informative to artistic, humorous and cultural and are written in both English and Italian languages.

Quickly approaching 400 individual posts dedicated to cancer awareness, the list of participants is getting longer and feature some of Italy’s most prolific bloggers like Machedavvero‘s gorgeous virtual decoupage by writer Chiara Santamaria, whose blogs about Wonderland, the behind the scenes of single parenting, Italian style and Il Cucchiaino di Alice, Miralda Colombo’s beautiful food blog, focusing on children’s menus for kids of all sizes.  Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino and Roma Every Day, a double threat of blogs about Italian recipes and Rome photos, respectively, by bilingual blogguesse Eleonora Baldwin.  And finally, the ever-writing Michelle Fabio and Bleeding Espresso- Fabio’s snappy savoir faire covers topics from politics and cultural to humor.

Thanks so much for this. This might sound weird, but I spent the first couple of years of my life in Italy, then travelled around the world. Now I’m living in Australia, with my Chinese wife, and son we had whilst living inJapan! Truly international, eh? Anyway, I’ve been trying to rediscover the smells and tastes of my youth with some authentic Italian recipes like these, best I’ve found so far! Thanks again, I’ll see if I can add the feed to my google reader tonight, though my son usually does that for me!
