Events — By Amiee Maxwell on May 4, 2010 at 2:35 pmThe 7th Annual Live Green SLC Festival takes place this Saturday, May 8 from 10am to 6pm at Library Square. The free event features interactive exhibits of green technologies, booths offering green products and services, and live music and entertainment.
The “Sustainable Food Court” serves up a selection of local and organic foods from local eateries such as Sage’s Café and then the “Solar Powered Beer Garden” opens at 11am serving a selection of Squatter’s beers.
At 12:15pm, the inaugural Tour de Brewtah kicks off at the festival. Riders will follow a downtown bike route marked by local breweries stopping at Red Rocks, Uinta Brewery, Desert Edge, and Squatters for a brew. The tour raises money for local non-profits and aims to build a stronger bike community.
There will also be plenty of activities catered to children such as a free climbing wall, face painting, and educational exhibits.
