Snowbird Ski Resort Extends Season to Mid-June

Things to Do — By Amiee Maxwell on May 21, 2010 at 3:21 pm

When I compiled a list of the Top 10 Summer Activities in Salt Lake City last week I failed to include “Ski at Snowbird Ski Resort.”  Epic spring storms have clobbered Little Cottonwood with foot after foot of perfect Utah powder.  In early April Snowbird was hit with 7 feet in 7 days and consistent weekly storms have helped Snowbird hold onto a 116″ mid-mountain base (as of 5/16/2010).

Snowbird Ski Resort just announced that they will be open for weekend skiing (Friday-Sunday) through Father’s Day (June 20).  Is there a better way to spend Father’s Day than some mid-June skiing and the Father’s Day BBQ on the Tram Plaza Deck? Perhaps a morning round of golf followed by a day of mid-June skiing at Utah’s famed resort and some BBQ and Brews on the Plaza Deck.
