Free Outdoor Concerts in Park City, Utah for August 2010

Most often known for its famed ski slopes and glitzy Sundance Film Festival, Park City offers summer visitors (and locals) a huge variety of FREE outdoor concerts.
For all shows bring your friends, family, a blanket or chair, and your own picnic and libations if noted. Here are some of the best live shows in Park City this August.
Summer Concert Series at the Canyons Resort
Park City’s Canyons Resort has FREE live music at 6 pm on Saturdays beginning July 17th. The Cabriolet and Frostwood lifts open at 4pm to shuttle people from the parking areas to the resort village. Bring a blanket or low back chair, picnic dinner, and enjoy the music.

Free Music Thursdays at the Newpark Town Center
Mountain Town Music sponsors free music Thursdays at the Newpark Town Center from 6-8pm. Picnic dinners and coolers are welcome but there is also a host of great take-out options near the venue. The Newpark Town Center is located in Kimball Junction north of the Redstone shopping area.

Miner’s Park Concert Series
Miner’s Park is a cute little park right on Park City’s Historic Main Street. Miner’s Park is an intimate venue for catching a variety of local and regional musicians. No coolers are allowed but Uinta beers and other refreshments are available for purchase.

Frontier Bank Community Concert Series at Deer Valley
A Park City favorite, the Frontier Bank Concert series takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm at Deer Valley Resort. The Deer Valley venue has plenty of room to stretch out so bring our friends, family, picnic baskets, and dancing shoes (just leave your pets at home). Concessions are provided by Deer Valley during the concert but for a special treat stop by the Park City Farmer’s Market in the Canyons Parking Lot on Wednesdays from 12-6pm for some farm fresh eats.
