Inaugural Utah Brew Fest Slated for Saturday, September 11, 2010

Who says Utah is a dry state?  For just $25 presale (or $35 the day of the festival) you can sip on 3-oz samples of over 40 styles of Utah brews including the full-strength variety too.

Sponsored by City Weekly Magazine, the inaugural Utah Beer Festival will take place at the Salt Lake City and County Building from 1-6pm on Saturday, September 11.

There is sure to be samples from Utah’s legendary Squatters Pub, Ogden’s exceptional Rooster’s brews, and Epic Brewery, Salt Lake’s newest craft brewery and first to exclusively brew high-point beers.

So 3-oz samples of beer, times 40 styles of beers, equals 120 ounces.  That is equal to about 7.5 pints in 5 hours – I think I am up for the challenge and will do so responsibly of course.  A portion of the events proceeds will benefit Local First so come out and sample some of the best local goods Utah has to offer.
