Where to Find the Best Pizza in Salt Lake City
Food — By Amiee Maxwell on August 19, 2010 at 5:00 amSalt Lake is definitely not a Chicago or New York, but we do have a fare number of stellar pizza joints. If I had to choose the best pizza place in town I would have to go with the Pie. Just steps away from the University of Utah campus, the Pie Pizzeria is a Salt Lake institution. The Pie delivers all over town or you can dine in at the university location, which is open until 3 am on weekends. You absolutely must start out with an order of Cheese Pull-A-Parts.
Stoneground comes in with a close second solely because I am obsessed with their Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese pizza – Portobellos, porcinis, and button mushrooms with goat and mozzarella cheeses – oh my! Owned by a New York native, Stoneground is as close as you can to New York Style thin-crust pizza in Utah. Plus they have the absolute best Tiramisu in town.
Rusted Sun Pizzeria doesn’t look like much from the outside and is a bit off the tourist beaten path, but their crazy array of gourmet toppings and selection of sauces makes for some darn tasty pizzas. Cozy counter and booth seating is available or grab a specialty pie to take back to your hotel.

It’s interesting and fun to see things from the other side of the gender coin. It’s often not too terribly different. Thanks, friend.
