Ski Resorts in Their Final Days of the Season with ~650 Inches!
Skiing and Boarding, Things to Do, What's New — By cbalaz on April 18, 2011 at 4:25 pmSo remember the recent blog post about Snowbird having 603″ of snow? Scratch that because, as of this morning, it now reports year-to-date recorded snowfall of 646″. That’s 54 feet.
Unfortunately, many resorts closed this weekend: The Canyons, Park City Mountain Resort, Snowbasin, and Solitude all closed on Sunday. But there’s still time. Alta and Brighton both remain open until the 24th of April. And Alta plans to reopen April 29-May1.
Though Snowbird has already enacted some limited lift closures, it should remain open (with operational lifts: Little Cloud, Mineral Basin Express, and The Tram, servicing nearly all of the mountain’s terrain) daily through May 8th. After this date, it will shift to a Friday, Saturday, Sunday only schedule through May 22 (with The Tram closing May 9-26 for annual maintenance).
